We loved working on this project and combining a family diamond with some modern details.

One of our most recent clients came to us with a ring from his grandmother.  He wanted to integrate the stone into an engagement ring. We always love teaming up with clients to bring new life to meaningful family pieces.

Because of the size of the stone our client came to us with we decided on the classic “Toi et Moi,” a design that originates from the ring given to Josephine by Napoleon in 1776 and became popularized in the 19th and 20th centuries. We brought in a selection of diamonds until we found one that matched our client’s antique mine cut diamond. The two larger diamonds are accented with smaller diamonds on a platinum band.

The setting of the client’s original ring had a sweet little small heart shape detail on the basket weave setting. We added this meaningful touch to the setting of the new ring.  We love preserving these fine unique details from old pieces in the new rings we design with clients.
