A pair of sisters decided to remake these brooches by their late uncle. There were so many beautiful stones and they had no idea where to start! One of the sisters decided to make an amazing pair of diamond earrings for her wedding day. Take a look at that project here.
The other sister was still contemplating her options, and they both knew that they wouldn’t use all of the stones. Their mother was also looking for a pair of earrings to wear to her daughters wedding, so they thought that it would be nice for her to use some of the stones to make something special of her own.
The mother wanted a bold earring with some color. She also decided that it would be nice for the earrings to have a drop. We thought that it would be really interesting to make the drop removable, so that she could have the option to wear them with or without the drop.
We started with the stud part of the earring and combined the emeralds, sapphires, and diamonds in a unique cluster design to create a beautiful button earring.
She really wanted a tear shaped drop, so we brought in a few different options and she ultimately decided on a mother of pearl option. The color was very summery and would be perfect for the beachy wedding they had coming up. We’re still thinking up options for a second removable drop that would totally change the look of the earrings! A darker blue lapis drop would make a perfect transition for fall & winter.
Two beautiful projects down; A few more to go! Stay tuned to see what else we create with these stunning stones.
