Where do you draw inspiration from?

Everywhere – nature, patterns, textiles needlepoint.  One time I saw a woman walk into the elevator with 2 different patterned shoes – they went together but they were different and I thought – why should earrings be the same?  And I made a pair of leaf and tree earrings with the left ear a tree and the right earring 3 leaves.

What are the three (or five) pieces of jewelry that you think every woman should have in her jewelry collection?

Stacking rings – you can always add to them or pair just one of them with a ring
Personalized jewelry – either a letter charm, a constellation or one of my calendar charms!
Gold Bangles or a wider gold bracelet – never ever will it go out of style and is so simple to wear with everything.  I haven’t taken mine off for 8 years
Diamond earrings – they can be studs, little drops or something, but after age 35, it’s nice to have diamond earrings. I wear my thread through ones since I can sleep in them and exercise in them which is so important when you’re a mom and don’t have time to change your jewelry all the time.

What is your favorite piece that you’ve ever created?

It changes, but right now I’m obsessed with the 3 carat antique peach diamond ring that I made myself in 18KT rose gold. I saw the diamond when buying a client a diamond and actually took money from my savings and bought it for myself since I knew I would never find a diamond like that again and I would think about it the rest of my life if I didn’t buy it.

Your jewelry is the perfect gift to commemorate a special occasion.  What jewelry have you received to celebrate important times in your life?

My mother gave me a charm bracelet with some of her charms when I graduated high school -I remember hating it at the time but now I love it. Since I wore my grandmother’s wedding dress, my husband and I used the money that we would have spent on a dress for a 1920’s beautiful pendant and  I made a chain with some blue sapphires (something blue) but when we were looking I found another antique pendant that I loved but didn’t go with the dress.  When my son was born 2 years later, my husband gave me that other charm.  He had bought it knowing that some day he would have a reason to give it to me and it was the sweetest thing he’s ever done for me!

What is your favorite trend in jewelry currently?

I love the mix of high and low materials – the tassles made of needlepoint thread with real semi precious beads. Since I live in Brooklyn and don’t dress up anymore, I like that fine jewelry (diamonds) is being designed in a more casual way.  Like my thread through diamonds or Billie clasp bracelet.

What pieces are you currently working on?

I’m working on so many different lines!  I am really into hoops right now and making funky, textured hoops that you can wear with everything.  I’m also into making really heavy oxidized sterling silver pieces with rich, deep patterns.

Page’s Constellation Charms are available in-store, and on our website. Charms are available in 10K Gold, and Sterling Silver, both with diamond accents. Her Calendar Charms are available for order in-store. Both pieces make amazing gifts, and are perfect for commemorating a special day (wedding, birthday, anniversary) or a special person in your life. Stay tuned for an in-store trunkshow this fall.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]
